The Perfect Cover Letter in 3 Paragraphs
Hiring managers are busy. Your cover letter needs to be short, punchy, and to the point. The three-paragraph formula is a great way to achieve this.
**Paragraph 1: The Introduction.** State the position you're applying for and where you saw it. Then, express your genuine enthusiasm for the role and the company.
**Paragraph 2: The Pitch.** This is the most important part. Pick two or three key requirements from the job description and explain how your experience and skills are a perfect match. Use a specific example or a quantifiable achievement.
**Paragraph 3: The Close.** Reiterate your interest, express your confidence in your ability to succeed in the role, and state that you look forward to hearing from them. Thank them for their time and consideration.
