Acing the Behavioral Interview: The STAR Method Explained
Behavioral interview questions often start with "Tell me about a time when..." The STAR method is a simple and effective way to structure your answers.
* **S - Situation:** Briefly describe the context. What was the situation you were in? * **T - Task:** What was your specific task or responsibility in that situation? * **A - Action:** Describe the specific actions you took to address the situation. This should be the longest part of your answer. * **R - Result:** What was the outcome of your actions? Quantify the result whenever possible.
By using the STAR method, you provide a clear, concise, and compelling story that demonstrates your skills and experience in action.
